Warranty

Alpha Clutch products are supplied with a 12-month or 20,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) from the date of purchase.

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Alpha Clutch offers customers two warranty pathways, depending on whether you are claiming for product replacement only (No-Fault Warranty) or product replacement plus labour reimbursement (Labour Reimbursement Warranty).

1. No-Fault Warranty (Replacement Kit Only)

Coverage

  • Entitles the customer to a replacement clutch kit within the warranty period.
  • No inspection or testing required for the first claim.
  • Available only where no labour or workshop cost reimbursement is sought.

Repeat Failure Protocol

  • If a replacement clutch kit has been provided and a second failure occurs, the replacement kit must be returned to Alpha Clutch for inspection.
  • If confirmed as a product fault, a further replacement will be provided.
  • If inspection shows the failure was due to misuse, incorrect installation, or external factors, the claim will be declined.
  • After a second failure, all subsequent claims require inspection.

Exclusions

  • Labour, towing, or vehicle recovery costs.
  • Consequential damage to other components.
  • Failures caused by incorrect installation, misuse, racing/competition use, exceeding factory RPM limits, oil contamination, or other external factors.
  • Normal wear and tear.

2. Labour Reimbursement Warranty (Replacement Kit + Labour)

Coverage

  • Provides a replacement clutch kit and reimbursement for workshop labour costs, paid at a trade rate determined by Alpha Clutch.
  • Applies where inspection confirms a manufacturing or material defect.

Inspection Requirement

  • The failed clutch kit must be returned to Alpha Clutch for inspection and assessment.
  • Claims will only be approved where inspection confirms the failure was caused by a genuine product fault.
  • Labour reimbursement is capped at recommended book time per vehicle.

Exclusions

  • Incorrect installation or improper fitment.
  • Driver misuse/abuse (e.g., riding the clutch).
  • Racing, competition, or extreme/abnormal use.
  • Operation beyond factory RPM limits or driveline modifications.
  • Failures caused by external factors (oil leaks, component failure).
  • General wear and tear.

3. Consumer Law Rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure, and
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

4. How to Make a Claim

  1. Keep your proof of purchase (invoice or receipt).
  2. Contact your point of purchase to submit a warranty claim and have the clutch returned to Alpha Clutch for inspection.
  3. Indicate whether you are claiming under the No-Fault Warranty or the Labour Reimbursement Warranty.
  4. Alpha Clutch will process your claim in line with the policy chosen and notify you of the outcome.
